SOCIETY FOR REGENERATIVE MEDICINE & TISSUE ENGINEERING (SRMTE) is a Non-Profit body registered in the state of Maharashtra, India under the Societies Act 1860. Formed in the year 2003 by a group of scientists working towards Stem Cell Research.

The main objective of this Society is to bring together Scientists and Medical specialists engaged in the emerging area of medicine, namely Regenerative medicine and Tissue Engineering.' It will provide a common platform for these experts to meet and discuss various issues connected with this field of specialization. It will thus catalyze it's development and help in bringing advanced therapies based on the findings of scientists working in the area of Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering, to the patients suffering from many incurable degenerative diseases.

To hold seminars/annual conferences and conduct workshops in Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering.

To publish books, periodicals, and other literature in the subject of Regenerative Medicine and Tissue engineering in particular, and Medicine in general.

To establish and conduct specialized classes, in Schools, Colleges, to promote the education of "Medicine" in general and “Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering" in particular. To cooperate with institutions and associations having similar aims and objects.
