The SOCIETY FOR REGENERATIVE MEDICINE & TISSUE ENGINEERING (SRMTE) is a non-profit organization registered in the state of Maharashtra, India under the Societies Act 1860. Founded in the year 2003 by a group of research scientists, SRMTE is the oldest non-profit body in India focussing on advancing stem cell research and applications.

The main objective of this Society is to bring together scientists and medical specialists engaged in the emerging fields of Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering.' It aims to provide a common platform for these experts to meet and discuss various issues connected with this field of specialization. The focus is to catalyze research and development in this field and help in bringing advanced stem cell and tissue engineering-based therapies to the patients suffering from presently incurable degenerative diseases.
